We were delighted to welcome Stephanie Howell, Head of Public Affairs for the UK, India, Middle East and Africa Region at Arup, for our exclusive online masterclass: ‘Mastering Public Affairs in Infrastructure’ on Wednesday 18 June from 10:30-11:15 BST.
Stephanie leads Arup’s UK public affairs strategy and has deep experience in strategic communications and infrastructure policy. She previously held senior roles at Transport for London and recently led Juergen Maier’s Rail and Urban Transport Review, with the Urban Transport Group, influencing Government policy.
In conversation with DeHavilland’s Lead Policy Analyst Michael Cameron, Stephanie explored how to master public affairs in the infrastructure, including:
- Government priorities: What’s top of the agenda following the Infrastructure Strategy and what could shift with the Industrial Strategy.
- Key stakeholders: Who to engage, what’s changed under Labour, and why cross-party and regional consensus matters.
- What works: Proven tactics, common pitfalls, and how to navigate devolved and local government dynamics.
