A key focus for EMMA and its members is the EU Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act. The EU legislative process is complex, and above all long. The DeHavilland team have covered both Act’s progress since their inception – all the EU Parliament Committees, exchanges of views, draft opinions, the Commission direction of travel. We’re in it for the long haul, which helps EMMA to maximise its contribution to the debate in seeking to protect news and magazine industry revenue streams in the digital transition.
- The first to know
The EMMA team counts three policy advisers in their team. They need to keep member organisations informed of policy and regulatory changes, and which way the wind is blowing in Brussels and Strasbourg. Our daily and weekly updates mean that the EMMA team is the first to know everything and anything that is important to their member organisations.
- People matter
Over the long periods it takes for the implementation of EU policy, the cast members change. EMMA uses DeHavilland’s online tools to engage with all the people who matter in EU decision-making – the difference makers, the rising and waning stars, the mavericks and the randomers. We also provide broader analysis of the people landscape, such as our take on the Slovenian presidency of the Council of the European Union. Whatever the agenda, we help EMMA to focus on the people who matter.
